What this day includes

Amed coast, local boat, private hotel pickup.

Amed snorkeling is best understood as a coastal experience rather than one single reef. Japanese Shipwreck, Lipah and Jemeluk each have a different character, and a jukung gives the captain more flexibility than staying at one shore-entry point.

The exact water route can change with visibility, current and waves. Local captains also communicate with one another and may share where turtles or better visibility have recently been seen, but wildlife is never guaranteed.

1 · Hotel pickupWe collect you from your hotel outside Amed. Start time is adjusted to your location so the day remains realistic.

2 · Jukung snorkelingMeet the local captain at the departure beach in Amed and explore selected snorkeling areas by traditional jukung.

3 · Return to hotelAfter the snorkeling experience and time to change or eat, your private car returns you to your hotel.

Three places guests often ask about.

Japanese Shipwreck

Amed's best-known wreck snorkeling area, close to the Banyuning side of the coast.

Lipah

Known for coral gardens. Turtles are often reported along the Amed coast, but sightings are never guaranteed.

Jemeluk

A popular bay with colorful fish and the well-known underwater temple area.

Important: this is not a fixed promise that every guest will visit all three spots in exactly the same order. The captain chooses the safest and most useful route for the conditions on the day.

Minimum 2 people. This package is for guests staying outside Amed. Guests already staying in Amed use the local snorkeling arrangement instead.

Before traveling to Amed for snorkeling

Is this available from Ubud, Kuta, Seminyak or Sanur?

Yes. The pickup time is adjusted to your hotel location. Farther areas normally require an earlier start.

Is the jukung picking us up from our hotel beach?

No. The jukung departs from its own Amed beach area. Your private car brings you to the departure point.

Can we choose the exact snorkeling spots?

You can tell us your priorities, but the captain must consider visibility, current and waves. Route flexibility is one of the advantages of using a jukung.

What if we are already staying in Amed?
