Explore Amed's vibrant coral reefs and stunning coastal views on a traditional Jukung, while supporting our local fishing community directly.
Hi, I’m your local host and the founder of Amed Excursion. Growing up as the son of a fisherman right here in Amed, I know firsthand how deeply our community relies on the ocean. The waters around the iconic Japanese Shipwreck are not just a beautiful view—they are the lifeblood of our village.
Today, many of our local fishermen struggle to make a fair living from tourism because they don’t speak English, forcing them to rely on third-party agencies that take large commissions. I wanted to change that.
By booking this tour, you are booking directly with our local fisherman community. We use a fair, rotating queue system so every fisherman in our group gets an equal chance to earn an income for their family. Since they don’t speak English, I will personally be your guide and translator, bridging the gap so you can connect with them, hear their stories, and experience Amed through the eyes of the people who call it home.
Best for photography lovers, couples, and those who want to experience the local way of life without getting wet. Watch the day turn into night from the calm open sea.
Best for ocean lovers who want to explore Amed’s best underwater spots away from the shore crowds. Arrive at the reef like a local—by boat.
Best for adventurers who want the absolute best of both worlds in a single, unforgettable afternoon. Marine life exploration followed by a peaceful sunset cruise.
To be completely honest with you: **this local community-driven tour page is brand new!** Because we just launched this fair-rotation system to bypass big agencies, our gallery below is currently empty. We don't want to use fake internet stock photos—we want real stories, real smiles, and real memories.
This is where we need your help! By booking a trip with us today, you are not just our guest; you become a founding member of our community project. Right after our trip, we will capture your best moments (with your permission!) and proudly feature your photo in our gallery below. Let's fill these slots together with real impact!
When you book any of these experiences, we take pride in our transparent pricing structure:
The majority of your tour fee goes directly into the hands of the fisherman captain of the day. Our fair rotation system ensures every family in the community benefits equally from tourism.
Covers my time as your English-speaking translator, safety coordinator, and host, bridging the communication gap so you feel entirely safe and welcome.
Did you successfully catch a fish during your sunset tour? Let us know! We can happily arrange for a small, authentic beachfront warung near the Japanese Shipwreck to grill your catch for a small extra fee. Nothing beats eating a fish you caught yourself, prepared the traditional Balinese way!
