If you stay in Ubud, East Bali is still practical as a private day tour, but timing matters more than it does from Amed. The drive is longer, so it is better to choose a route that makes geographical sense instead of trying to collect too many attractions.
For most guests, Lempuyang + Tirta Gangga + Taman Ujung is the clearest classic route. For culture-focused travelers, Samsara Living Museum or Tenganan can be substituted depending on the day.
If the Lempuyang photo is the priority
From Ubud, a very early pickup is needed if you want to reach Lempuyang near opening time and improve the chance of a clearer Mount Agung view. Weather and clouds can never be guaranteed.
If culture matters more than Instagram
We can build a slower route around Samsara Living Museum, Tirta Gangga, Taman Ujung or Tenganan instead of designing the whole day around the gate-photo queue.

How many destinations should we choose?
For a tour of up to 10 hours, choose a maximum of four destinations. We will check whether the combination is realistic from your Ubud pickup point.
Can we skip Lempuyang?
Yes. You can choose culture, temples, coast or nature stops instead. The planner lets you build the East Bali day around your interests.
Is the price the same as pickup from Amed?
No. Ubud requires more driving time. A private East Bali day from Ubud is typically IDR 750,000 to 1,400,000 for the car, driver and fuel, depending on your exact hotel, the vehicle and how far the route runs. Entrance fees and meals are paid separately.
How long is the drive from Ubud to Lempuyang?
About 2 hours, and it moves with the traffic. That is why the classic route starts before dawn if the Gate of Heaven photograph matters to you. If it does not, we can leave later and build the day around Taman Ujung, Tirta Gangga and Samsara Living Museum instead.
